PERRAN FOUNDRY, NEAR FALMOUTH

Yes was commissioned by North Hill Estates Ltd to carry out a detailed quantitative contamination risk assessment

FULL STORY >

Fuel contamination was present with the impacted soil being removed off site as hazardous waste. The extent of the contamination plume was revealed and removed off site. The tank voids were backfilled with clean excess arisings and imported hardcore material.

A detailed contamination risk assessment showed that the fuel concentrations which remained in-situ post tank removal were not a significant harm to human health or the water environment.
